A NEW NAME – A RENEWED AND ENHANCED FOCUS
Since 2022 a small group of internationally recognized farriers have been meeting regularly to find new and unique ways of promoting and funding continuing education for the farrier industry. This group is made up of current and former members of a variety of farrier associations including American Farrier’s Association (AFA), International Association of Professional Farriers (IAPF), World Championship Blacksmiths (WCB), and other state/provincial and regional associations. Current members of the group’s Board of Directors include Roy Bloom, Tim Cable, Dave Farley, Steve Prescott, Bryan Quinsey, and Adam Wynbrandt.
The Farrier Education Fund Inc. is a 501(c)3 charitable organization recognized with the Internal Revenue Service and the state of Florida. All contributions to the Fund are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Annual goals of the Fund will include:
- Sponsor at least 5 full-day farrier clinics;
- Provide funding to hosts of farrier clinics to offset costs of coffee and donuts;
- Provide funding to individuals to attend continuing education events;
- Provide funding for speakers at national and international educational events;
- Seek out corporate and individual donations to offset the Fund’s expenses;

- Offer financial support for state and/or regional farrier associations for their educational clinics and contests;
- Create an online memorial recognition of family and friends of the farrier industry.
