Grants for Continuing Education
Farriers and veterinarians interested in equine hoof-care (Grantees) are welcome and encouraged to make application for Farrier Education Fund (FEF) Continuing Education "Reimbursable Grants" to attend and/or participate in farrier education venues and opportunities.The FEF Continuing Education Reimbursable Grants are intended to provide financial assistance for any farrier or veterinarian to attend an Education Event. Covered expenses may include all or a portion of registration, transportation, and/or lodging. While membership in any local, state/provincial, regional, national, or international farrier or veterinary organization is not required, but is encouraged. Grants shall be awarded based upon:
- Financial need
- Length of farrier or veterinarian experience
- Commitment to the profession, including memberships in farrier or veterinarian association(s)
- Previous Grant Approval(s)
Monies allocated for grants will be made available up to the annual budgeted amounts approved by the FEF Board of Directors. Any amount which exceeds the budgeted amount must be approved by the FEF Board of Directors.
All grants must be presented by the Grants Committee to the FEF Board of Directors for final approval. The Board’s decision shall be final.
