Hoofcare Essentials Foundation

Educational Events

The primary role of the Farrier Education Fund is to either "sponsor" or "support" Educational Events.  The Fund's Educational Events Committee will work to identify at least 5 clinic sites each year.  For these "sponsored" clinics, the Chairman of the Events Committee will work with hosts of clinics to provide an agreed upon clinician with the Farrier Education Fund paying for the travel, lodging and day fees of the clinician.  Ideally, these "sponsored" clinics will anticipate having a minimum of 50 attendees.

In addition, we will entertain applications from state and regional farrier associations to offer financial "support" for their clinics.  The "supported" clinics will anticipate having less than 50 attendees.  The number of "supported" clinics will be determined by the annual budget of the Fund.

Funds used for sponsoring or supporting educational clinics will come from our Educational Partners.  These manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and/or service companies will contribute an annual dollar amount to the Fund.  Benefits of being a Farrier Education Fund Educational Partner can be found by CLICKING HERE

HOSTS OF FARRIER EDUCATION FUND CLINICS
Click Here for an application to host a Farrier Education Fund Clinic.  We ask hosts to provide a venue for the event including an appropriate number of chairs, tables for our Educational Partners to showcase their products and/or services, coffee, donuts and lunch.  In turn, the Farrier Education Fund will work with the host to identify either one (1) or two (2) clinicians.  Included in this identification, will be a selection of topics which the clinician has previously presented and which the host believes will be a benefit to their clientele and clinic attendees.  The Farrier Education Fund will enter into an agreement with the clinician(s) whereby the clinician is compensated for his/her time, including travel days, transportation and lodging.  Please contact the Fund's office at 561-914-8278 for additional information.
